Dr. Pressman received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He completed subspecialty training in sports medicine, arthroscopy, revision joint replacement and the treatment of arthritis at the most advanced center in Canada. He had additional training in cartilage resurfacing at Brigham and Woman's Hospital in Boston. He holds fellowships in orthopedic surgery, joint reconstruction, the treatment of sports injuries and allograft transplantation from the University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto.
Dr. Pressman holds a Masters of Health Education, and actively participates as a surgeon educator and lecturer. His areas of expertise include the biologic treatment of arthritis, total hip and knee replacements, revision joint replacements, sports injuries, as well as general orthopedics. He is highly skilled in performing the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing procedure.
Dr. Pressman is Board certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Allan Tissenbaum, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon, is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Tissenbaum brings a high level of experience and skill to MVH, addressing all orthopedic issues from fractures to total joints. He earned a bachelor's degree in physiology from McGill University in Montreal and a master's degree in exercise physiology from York University in Ontario.
He completed his medical degree at McGill University, where he also served his orthopedic residency and fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine. Certified in orthopedic sports medicine, Dr. Tissenbaum has treated athletes at the high school, college and professional levels, including members of the Montreal Canadians and Expos.
